150th Anniversary

Established in 1872 by women from five churches in the Chattanooga area, Chambliss Center for Children is celebrating its 150th Anniversary this year. In addition to naming Katie Harbison as President & CEO in late 2021, the agency plans for program growth and a special celebration of their history throughout the year.

National Adoption from Foster Care Month

November is National Adoption Month, specifically adoption through foster care, and Chambliss Center for Children is celebrating by spreading awareness about local children and teens in need of responsible, loving foster and adoptive homes.

Leadership Transition at Chambliss Center for Children

Phil Acord, CEO of Chambliss Center for Children, will retire at the end of this year after 50 years of employment with the organization, and current President Katie Harbison will assume the President/CEO position, completing a five-year succession plan.
