East Side Elementary School is home to one of Chambliss Center for Children's micro-centers, providing high-quality child care exclusively for East Side teachers and staff.

This small, mixed-age child care program offers a nurturing, family-style environment in a convenient location right where educators work. Licensed by the Tennessee Department of Human Services as a Family Group Home, the micro-center allows teachers and staff to have their children nearby throughout the day while receiving quality care from experienced early childhood professionals.

Chambliss Center has been operating micro-centers within local schools for more than 20 years, helping support educators by making reliable child care more accessible. By bringing child care directly into the workplace, these programs help strengthen families, support school staff, and create a positive environment for both children and educators.
